Isn’t the digital signal sent using electromagnetic waves? Just like the old analog signal. Aren’t electromagnetic waves inherently analog? If so, what makes the digital signal “digital”? Is it a defined frequency on the spectrum?

Everything is inherently analog. The electrical signals racing around in your digital computer. The signals on your highspeed digital internet connection. So basically two analog states are defined to be the digital 1s and 0s. The states can be frequencies, levels, phases, or a combination of them.

I’m looking for an SD memory card and see that some are called “Secure digital” and others are called “Secure digital flash.” What’s the difference? Are they interchangeable in my devices that use SD cards?

Same thing. Technically, “flash” media stores data on a printed circuit board (as opposed to disk media), but if the card has an SD logo on it, it should work in SD devices. The term “Flash” has no laws behind it’s use, so it’s probably just a marketing term slapped on the package to make you think it’s better/faster/less likely to not work/etc.
