Question by GetmeOUTofHERE: Italian Coffee Maker- regular coffee vs. espresso//Cholesterol?
I just bought an “Italian Coffee Maker” thinking its a coffee brewer that you use on the stove. I like a cup of coffeee every now and then, but my dad pointed out to me and I read on line that its really to make espresso.
I’m pretty health conscious so I wanted to kno if I use a filter to make regular coffee with it(which ive done before with another little maker like this) will is reduce the cholesterol-ness? lol >_<

Dont make fun, but I heard on MSNBC once that you should use a filter even with capuucino machines because without it you can raise your cholesterol..(significant difference)
So is this different from he cappuccino thing I heard? Can I make regular coffee and not have to worry about that?
Or.. you I just return it and get a regular little coffee machine?

A filter can reduce cholesterol from coffee?

Is there much cholesterol in coffee to begin with? If so, how can a paper or mesh filter, make it healthier. I think that’s a big myth.

I happen to brew 100% Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee in a vaccum brewing coffee machine. It uses a mesh filter and makes EXCELLENT cups of coffee.

How to Install a Dishwasher

Installing and connecting a dishwasher is not a difficult job. You will need some basic plumbing and electrical knowledge.

Measure your cabinet opening to see that it’s 24 inches wide and 34 inches high. This is the standard dishwasher size. You can purchase a space saver model that’s only 18 inches wide. You will also need access to drill three 1 ¼ inch holes through the cabinet wall to run your lines to the sink water line, drain and electrical connection.

The dishwasher installation kit contains your hot water line hose, T-connector for taping into the hot water line and Teflon Tape to wrap around the thread. When purchasing your dishwasher check to see if these parts are included. If they are, then you saved yourself a few dollars.

Material and Tools:

Electric drill

1 ¼ inch Drill Bit

Screwdrivers
Pliers

Wire Nuts
Adjustable wrench

Measuring Tape
Level
Dishwasher Drain Pipe

Dishwasher Connection Kit

Step1:

Open up your dishwasher installation manual and go through your parts list to make sure you have everything.

Step2:

Locate and connect the hot water line to your dishwasher.

Step3:

Connect your drain line to your dishwasher.

Step4:

Connect your electrical line to your dishwasher. Refer to installation manual for detailed instructions.

Step5:

Carefully guide your water line hose, water drain hose, and electrical line through each hole in your cabinet. Then slide your dishwasher into place.

Step6:

Adjust the feet on the bottom of the dishwasher to level off the dishwasher. Use the level to help you level off dishwasher. Once level, secure your dishwasher by screwing it to the underside of the countertop.

Step7:

Refer to installation manual for detailed instructions on how to replace your sink drain pipe with the dishwasher drain pipe. Now connect the dishwasher drain hose to the pipe, using the hose clamp to tighten it.

Step8 :

Shut off your hot water line to your sink and connect T connector so that you can run water line from dishwasher. Refer to installation manual for detailed instructions on how to go about hooking up the T connector.

Step9 :

With the electricity turned off, connect your electrical line to the junction box under your sink.

Step10:

Turn your hot water back on and check for leaks. Refer to your owner’s manual on proper operation of your dishwasher and then perform a test run to make sure everything is working ok.

The full message I am getting on the screen is “This type of disc cannot be played. Please insert a different disc.” I have played these discs previously with no problems. The DVD player is a Panasonic Omnivision. I can’t even use a disc cleaner, they won’t work either. Thanks in advance.

hmmm, this sounds like my PS2 just before it died. This seems to happen when the laser can’t read the dvd’s anymore. If the DVD’s work in other players, and If your DVD player is older, it might be time to get a new one. If the warranty is up, you could try taking it apart and cleaning the dust out and what not.

If it is the laser, the only way to fix it involves soldering and what not, so unless you know how to do that stuff, I’d get a new one.
